How does the crusher work?
The Skid Mounted Crushing Plant is designed for use in quarrying and mining, providing a cost-effective solution for reducing oversized materials. Here’s a detailed description of how the plant works:
Feeding to the Plant
The plant is equipped with a feeding flight conveyor that can handle boulders up to 30 mm in size. The feeding height of the conveyor is between 2.5 to 3 meters, allowing the plant to be fed using loaders without a feeding ramp. If necessary, a small 2-meter-high ramp can be constructed using wire mesh.
Primary Crusher
Jaw Crushers:
The plant includes two primary jaw crushers of AC 30 size.
Jaw crushers operate by compressing rock between a fixed jaw and a moving jaw.
Movable Jaw: Attached to a swinging lever connected to an eccentric shaft, which moves the jaw to crush the material.
Fixed Jaw: Provides a stationary surface against which the material is crushed.
Toggle Plate: Transmits power and protects the crusher from overloading, helping to adjust the discharge opening size.
Secondary Crusher
Vertical Shaft Impactor (VIAO-7 Open Rotor):
The output from the secondary crusher is cubical in shape with a fleeciness index of 5-7%.
The output product sizes are:
40 + 20 mm – 12%
20 + 10 mm – 35%
10 + 5 mm – 22%
5 + 0 mm – 31%

Screening Arrangement
Vibrating Screen:
A vibrating screen of 10’ x 4’ size with 4 deck construction is provided.
The decks are arranged as follows:
1st deck: 40 mm
2nd deck: 20 mm
3rd deck: 10 mm
4th deck: 5 mm
Conveyors
The conveyor system is constructed with a tubular structure.
Supports are provided by legs or ropes as required.
The head drum of the conveyors is self-geared and maintenance-free, eliminating the need for external gearboxes.
All conveyors have a 500 mm belt width with endless belts of 315/3 quality, 3 mm top, 1.5 mm bottom, and M-24 grade covering.
The total length of the conveyors supplied is 110 meters in 7 sections.
Motors
The plant includes a set of TEFC cage type electric motors:
Primary crusher AC 30 – 60 HP each (2 Nos.)
Secondary crusher VIAO-7 – 150 HP (1 No.)
Vibrating screen – 15 HP (1 No.)
Flight conveyor – 20 HP (1 No.)
Complete conveyors – 25 HP (1 set)
Power Source
A generating set of 400 KVA is recommended to operate the plant.
Control Panel
A suitable control panel with overload protection, earth fault protection, and single-phase protection for motors is supplied. The panel has provisions for both auto and manual operation with emergency stop facilities and is mounted on the skid structure of the plant.
Connected Load
The total power requirement of the plant is 337 HP, with an additional provision for any extra load of 5 HP.
Connecting Cable
One set of connecting cables from the equipment to the control panel is provided. The supply cable from the main power source to the control panel is not included.
Supervision of Erection and Commissioning
Supervision for the erection and commissioning of the plant is provided at an extra charge.
