The Vibrating Screen consists of a robust base frame and screen supporting structure, crafted from durable heavy channels and special coil steels to withstand wear. It features self-lubricating double row roller bearings for the center shaft, which is made from special steel and supported at both ends by roller bearings with eccentric dead weights to induce vibrations via the driving pulley. A squirrel cage motor typically operates at 960 RPM, anchored securely to the screen's foundation frame. Helical coiled springs support the entire screen structure and can be easily replaced when needed. The screens themselves are made from tough coiled sheets, customizable in hole size and inclination to suit specific requirements, with configurations typically featuring 2 decks and options for 3 or 4 decks upon request, each with its specialized discharge hopper.

How does the crusher work?

Vibrating screens are essential in the mining and aggregate industries for separating materials based on size. They work by utilizing vibrating motion to move and sort particles through different-sized screens. Here's a basic overview of how vibrating screens work -

Vibrating Screen Components:

  • Screen Box: The screen box holds multiple layers of screen mesh (typically 4 decks as per client requirements). Each deck has openings of varying sizes to separate materials into different grades.

  • Vibrating Mechanism: The vibrating mechanism, often driven by an electric motor, imparts a rapid back-and-forth motion to the screen box. This mechanism can be powered by a vibrating motor, an eccentric shaft, or other vibratory elements.

  • Support Frame: The screen box is mounted on a sturdy support frame. The frame allows the vibrating mechanism to operate freely while maintaining stability.

  • Damping Springs: Springs are used to isolate the vibrating motion of the screen box from the support frame, minimizing the transmission of vibrations to the surrounding structure.

Vibrating Screen Operation:

  • Material Feeding: Raw material is fed into the vibrating screen from a feed hopper. The material is distributed evenly across the screen surface by a vibrating grizzly feeder, ensuring an efficient separation process.

  • Vibration: The vibrating mechanism creates oscillating motion in the screen box. This vibration causes the material to move across the screen surface.

  • Screening Process: As the material moves along the screen, particles that are smaller than the openings in the mesh pass through to the next deck or discharge chute. Larger particles remain on the screen and move towards the end of the screen box.

  • Multiple Decks: Each deck in the screen box has mesh openings of different sizes. This allows for the separation of material into multiple grades, with finer particles passing through the upper decks and coarser particles being discharged from the lower decks.

  • Discharge: Separated materials are discharged through various outlets, which can be directly onto conveyor belts for further processing or storage.

  • Power Supply: The vibrating screen and other equipment such as the jaw crusher, cone crusher, and conveyors are powered by an electric motor, with a control panel and cable for operation. In mobile setups, a diesel generating set provides the necessary power.

  • By combining vibrating screens with other equipment like jaw crushers and cone crushers, a plant can efficiently process and separate materials, ensuring a steady supply of graded materials for various applications.
